Jesus say ‘’But seek first the kingdom of God and
His righteousness and all things shall be added to you’’ Matthew 6: 33.
The righteousness of God is embodied in Christ we
receive righteousness by receiving Him not by painful struggles or wearisome
toil, not by gift or scarifies, is righteousness obtain. It is freely given to
every soul who hungers and thirst to receive it. Righteousness by which we are
justified are impaired, the righteousness by which sanctified is imparted the
first is our title to heaven; the second is our fitness to heaven.
GOD’S
RIGHTEOUSNESS
A.
The Ten Commandment Exodus 20:1-21
Note that the principles enshrined in the Ten
Commandment have been in existence from eternity. The supreme importance of God’s Law is the expression
of His character.
B.
Do not think that I come to destroy
the Law of the prophets, I say to you till heaven and earth pass away one jot
or one tilt will by no means pass from the law till all is fulfilled. Whoever
therefore breaks one of the least of these commands and teaches men, so shall
be called least in the kingdom of heaven, but whosoever does and keep them
shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven.
LOVE YOUR ENEMIES
I.
You have heard that it was said; you
shall love your neigbour and hate your enemies. But I say to you, love your
enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, pray for
those who spitefully use you and persecute you. That you may be the son of your
FATHER in heaven; He make the sun rise on the evil and on the good, and sends
rain on the just and the unjust. Therefore you shall be perfect just as your
FATHER in heaven is perfect Matthew 5:43-48.
II.
Repay no one with evil, have regard
for good thing in sight of all men. Beloved do not avenge yourselves, but
rather give place to wrath; for it is written “vengeance is Mine, I will repay
says the Lord. Therefore, if your enemies are hungering feed him, if he is
thirsty give him drink. For in so doing you will keep loads of fire on his
head. Roman 12:17-21.
JUDGE
NOT
Judge not, that you may not be judged. For with
what judgment you judge, you would be judged. And with measure you measure you
use; it will be measure back to you. Therefore judge nothing before the time,
until the Lord comes. Who will both bring to light the hidden things of man heart.
Then each one’s praise will come from God. 1 Corinthians 4:5.
